Learn how to create a dressmaking pattern completely from scratch using your own measurements, following Winifred Aldrich’s metric pattern cutting method. First we create a ‘pattern block’ from which a pattern can be created from your own design. We make ‘toiles’ (mock up versions) of the basic shape before developing different patterns for various different designs.
If you have previously attended a pattern cutting course with The Party Frock, this course is still for you! Move on to a trouser block or creating more complex designs from your original pattern block.
Pattern paper and calico is provided.
